Journal #1 MY FIRST WEEK Valerie Cortes Rodriguez 7-2

My first week of school was awesome! I like my teachers, and the method that they give the class. I think maybe pur uniform can be better but I can do anything. I didn't think that a yellow polo goes with a navy blue uniform. I like too that in this new school have many groups (clubs) to participate. I think that this clubs help to invite all students to participate in many things and different activities. I liked too that all class-rooms have conditionar air. Something that I dislike was that in this school we donot have space to play sports and go outside for Gym Class. And I dislike too much that was time to come back to school and the school wasn't ready to start this year correctly. That so weird to new students that wait a lot like me, to know teachers "really" class-room. The teachers needs they own room too to be ready and have all they professionalamd personal things in they place. Something that I liked is tha we have a variety of places to eat (without counting that now we can go outside of the school) But I can't forget always was the lunch-room. I can't forget to say, that was a really disaster to start a year with GOOD RICE. It something out of place that in our 1st day give the food that they give us when the childrens did not come. (in my old school we do it in this method). And then said "CHILDRENS BRING A BAG OF RICE". We do it, but in my opinion, we are a specialized school, we suppose to have good rice maybe onlly in the 1st day. Well I finish saying what I liked and Disliked. But I Liked it too much.

My Reflection #1, Valerie Cortes Rodriguez 7-2 Sergio Ramirez Hostos

The Love The love: In theory, a war. In voting, a problem. In chemistry, a reaction. And in drawing, a heart.Everything on the love is not bad. 90% is very good, dut there are wars formed by the same. That pain that causes problems. But the love is necessary to know how to understand it. HAS ITS THEORY! Learn to use it. It is taken place, but it is enjoyed!

My 1st Week at School August 2009

Hello my name is George I will be writing about my first week at school. The first week of school, for me, is was all about telling my friends what I did during the summer. Most importantly to see my friends again. We talk like there were no tomorrow. This week we had a lot of homework, from Math to English. On Prof. Leroy class we tasked to make a Journal and to look for the definition of Scribe. On math we needed to write the rules for ×, −, ÷ and + rules of integers and rational numbers (fractions). On Industrial Arts we need to buy a 9’’ x 12’’ drawing pad, an eraser, mechanical pencil with metal tip and 50¢ for cardboard. On history class we need to bring an autobiography of 2 pages and present photo. So I got an iPhone and all my friends envy me for having it. I also have the biggest backpack on the group. So first week of school was the best. Hope the readers liked my journal. The best school year 2009-2010.

Aug. 17- 21 2009

The week started with the announcement of a hurricane that was going to hit our shores. However, several brief rain showers were present at our school. I got soak and wet very badly. The 1st Journal was quite weird some people were lost others did not care. Some students were happy about the Weekly Scribe others were disappointed because of the adding of new work. Coming out early makes me very hungry at the last period and I don’t really matter if for lunch they are serving just Raviolis, I will eat them all.

On Tuesday I was absent part of the day because I had to pay a Traffic Infraction for speeding. Nonetheless, I was able to give class to 8-1 and 8-2; I know that they were “very happy” about it. The day when fast and so did the students.

On Wednesday I calendarized most of students Scribes and Reflections. Some were making faces, some were happy and others didn’t care again. Time when by very fast and I almost ended without a voice due to the non stopping verbal workout.

On Thursday I gave to the students the infamous and hated words of vocabulary. Yes, I know it’s a lot but we have to do it. Using the Swine Flu as an excuse I basically told the kids that they should take a bath and wash themselves properly. Some made faces on the words of vocabulary and thought same old same old.

Finally the end of the week! I was really looking forward for this day. I bet everyone was very tired and a bit sad due to the upcoming schedule from 8 to 3 that will start on Monday. Some look at the rationale and acknowledge the overload of work. My room still has holes on the sealing and is being used a storage place. Being a Scribe was ok for me, but I have to admit that is was boring most of the time. After all it’s just the teacher’s point of view. I bet the students have better things to say next time.

My first week at School

My first week at school was amazing. Although I wake up at 5:15 AM, knowing that it is only until 12:00 noon is exciting. I get home early and have more time to study and share with my neighbors. In the afternoon, I enjoy riding my bike. At school, I met two new friends. I got to see my old friends and teachers.
Monday was the best day because I got to wear new clothes. The bookback is very cool. The shoes are very cool; they are Converse. I did not like the changes in the uniform because I was starting to get acquainted with the white shirt. Pale yellow is not my favorite color. To me, this week has been exciting and will continue the entire semester. I am willing to learn and do my best. I am excited because I will graduate in May. This year is full of new challenges.

My First Week of School
The day classes started, I was very nervous. My mom dropped me off, wished me good luck, and left. My timidity went away when I saw my elementary school friends. I was slightly disappointed when out of all the six friends that entered the school, I only got to take class with three of them. In science class, I did not like my assigned seat at all because I had to turn my chair to see what was written on the board. The day had passed and it had been quite good and all of the teachers seemed nice. The next day, we talked about the rules that hadn’t been discussed the day before and what we were hoping to learn during the school year. That same day, the class took a Spanish test to see what we already knew. Wednesday, we had a math exam that I considered very hard. By now, I was starting to socialize with the rest of the class and school. On Thursday, the math teacher discussed the test we had taken the day before. I barely passed the exam. The last day of the week, I handed in a drawing of a forest to the science teacher. My elementary school friends and I were a bit sad because one of our friends was absent for the whole five days. I enjoyed my first week of school and I look forward to the rest of the school year.
